EBONYI STATE ADMINISTRATIVE STRATEGY FOR CITIZENS’ ENGAGEMENT AND PARTICIPATION IN BUDGET PROCESSES

The event attracted a diverse audience of state and non-state actors, as well as members of the media, all united in their commitment to strengthening inclusive governance, transparent, accountable, and effective budget processes.

In his remarks, the Executive Director, Chief Amb. Ajah Oliver Chima expressed deep appreciation to all participants for their active engagement and dedication to advancing citizens’ participation in budgeting.

The event also witnessed impactful contributions from Mrs. Williamson Mfon, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Finance amd Economic Development. Some key stakeholders such as the Permanent Secretary MBPRM, HRH Eze Sunday Oketa, Ebonyi State Auditor General, SA to the Governor on Community Engagement, SA to the Governor on Youth Mobilization, the Director General EBBC ably represented by Ukwome Anthony, the State Chairman, Association of Town Union Presidents General, Civil Society Organization to mention a few graced the occasion.

Their insights and experiences greatly enriched the event.

The session was further strengthened by the presence of the project consultant, Dr. Azu Ibiam. Dr. Emma Abah, DIG Foundation Advisor, haertily welcomed the participants, urging them to make use of the opportunity provided by the strategy document while Mr. Ude Chimezie DIG Foundation monitoring and Evaluation Officer ably moderated the event.
