DIG trained CSO, Media and Community Leaders on Budget process
DIG Foundation with support from USAID IHP trained over 150 stakeholders on Budget Process
DIG Foundation between, December 15th, to December 18th, 2022 trained 156 (103 males and 53 females) persons across the three (3) senatorial zones of Ebonyi State covering the 13 Local Government Areas. The objective of the training was to build capacity of target participants on relevant laws, policies, programs and budget process to enable them engage optimally in demanding for accountability. The participants were drawn from Ward Development Committees (WDCs), Civil Society Organization/Faith Based Organization/DIG Foundation community volunteers/members, PWDs, Media, and Town Union. The training was held in Ebonyi North comprising Abakaliki, Izzi, Ohaukwu and Ebonyi from 15 to 16th of December 2021 at Geneza Hotel, Abakaliki. For Ebonyi South comprising Afikpo North, Afikpo South, Ivo, Ohaozara and Onicha, was conducted 17th and 18th of December 2021 at D’ Base Hotel Amasiri, Afikpo North LGA, Ebonyi State, while Ebonyi Central Zone comprising of Ikwo, Ishielu, Ezza South and Ezza North was conducted at Geneza Hotel Abakaliki, at same period (17th and 18th of December 2021) with Ebonyi South concurrently. A total of one hundred and seventy eight persons registered their presence across the three zones during the training including USAID IHP Staff, DIG Team and facilitators. The training featured goodwill messages, pre test, PowerPoint presentation, group works/presentation.
A total of 177 individuals registered their presence during the training cross all the three (3) senatorial zones while some stakeholders did not write attendance but honored the invitations.
